Trainee Counsellors
Training to become a therapist can be a profoundly humbling and stretching experience. I have been there! For many, it stirs up old wounds, self-doubt, or a fear of “getting it wrong,” especially when working with real clients for the first time. There’s often a tension between wanting to do well and staying truly present with the client’s story. Add to that the pressure of assignments, placements, supervision, and personal development—and it can feel like you're being unravelled and re-shaped all at once. But these very challenges are also what deepen your capacity to hold others. If you're walking this path, know that feeling unsettled is often a sign you’re growing into a more grounded and authentic version of yourself.
I’m passionate about supporting the next generation of therapists through thoughtful, grounded counselling and mentorship. I offer counselling students a safe, reflective space to explore their clinical development, integrate theory with practice, and build confidence in their therapeutic voice. Whether you're navigating your placement journey, grappling with complex client work, or seeking guidance on incorporating faith-informed approaches, mentorship is tailored to your needs. Together, we’ll unpack professional challenges, nurture self-awareness, and honour the values you bring into this deeply human work.

Counselling for Trainee Counsellors
For trainee counsellors, accessing personal therapy can be a deeply enriching part of the journey. It provides a confidential space to reflect on the emotional demands of training, process personal material that may be stirred through client work, and develop a grounded sense of self as a practitioner. Engaging in therapy isn’t just about meeting course requirements—it’s about embodying the very process of healing and self-awareness you’ll eventually offer others. It helps you hold space for your own clients with more clarity, presence, and compassion.
Mentorship
Mentorship for trainee counsellors offers something distinct from supervision—it’s not about clinical oversight or case management, but rather about walking alongside you as you grow into your therapeutic identity. Where supervision focuses on accountability, client safety, and ethical practice, mentorship creates space for deeper reflection, emotional grounding, and honest conversations about the personal journey of becoming a therapist. It’s a place to explore the ‘you’ that shows up in the work—your skills, values, doubts, voice, and vision—so you can navigate the challenges of training with more confidence and authenticity.
